WWII OSS Philippine Guerilla Machete

According to the reference book “U.S. Military Knives, Bayonets and Machetes, Book III” by M.H. Cole, this machete was manufactured by the Cruver Manufacturing Company. The Machete was unmarked with the intention of not to divulge the country of origin if captured by enemy forces. The machete is believed to have been made for the OSS, with the intention of them to be used in the Philippines in the hands of irregular Philippine forces who were being trained in the United States for later insertion into the Philippines by parachute or submarine.
